A long time ago...
Recently put up my first solo show at Rick Rhodes Photography and Imaging a few weeks ago… it was a blast.
“IT IS STARTING LIKE THIS:” featured works spanning 2009-2012 and it was quite pleasing to see it all together. Thanks to everybody who came out and saw it.. if you missed it, here’s some press!
Be sure to check back soon… I’ll be showing work at the City Gallery for June and July at a local young contemporary show, featuring 8 other artists that I’m absolutely thrilled to be showing with.

this is an oldie but a goodie. thought he deserved some internet space.
Recycla-Bull Terrier Rescue, Inc. has a raffle going – if you donate any amount of money at all to help with the rescue dogs, your name goes into a raffle for a free pet portrait done by me! Here are two examples… (the versions the winners get do not have the photo attached!)
My first job in Charleston was for Technical Theater Solutions.
I built this cave with the help of my amazing master-of-an-organizer-builder-supervisor, carved it myself, then coated and painted it with the help of a very talented (and also new to Charleston) assistant. Then the three of us put on the final touches and it is now completed! The cave bears at the “Creatures from the Past” museum at the College of Charleston now have a nice looking limestone habitat.
Without giving too much away, the cave is made of coated foam. The coating material is a mixture of hydrocal, with other things, and fiberglass veil.
Bears in their new home.

Kelly admires the big bear!

View from the hallway before you enter the museum – it is the first thing you see upon entering.
